How to access My private files in Moodle.

Moodle 2 allows each user to have access to My private files for uploading and managing a set of files. Files saved in the private files area can be organized in folders and users can upload the files into courses by using the file picker. Take the following steps to learn how to access private files.

Locate the Navigation block and click "My profile" to open the menu.

Click "My private files."

Use file manager to manage Private files.

1. Add files via the File Picker

2. Create new folders

3. Dowload all files

4. Click on the thumbnail to find detailed information about the folder.

 


Alternatively, users can also access private files via the My private files block.

*Note: The My private files block  needs to be loaded in the page in order to be accessible to users.  Usually only teachers and administrators can add blocks to a page. Students can add block inside the My home area.
