How to view grades in Moodle.

The Grades area for a students displays the User report and the Overview report. The User report generally shows a students grade in either a numerical, text, or percentage format in addition there is also an area to view feedback. An individual user can view their grades by following the steps below.

Log in to the Moodle site

Click here to learn how.


Locate the course.

Follow these instructions.


Locate the Administration block and click "Grades."


View grades for all Activities.

With the gradebook you can scroll smoothly horizontally and vertically through grades. Note: Horizontal scrolling is at the bottom of the browser window.
 
Clicking on the name of a Assignment opens a page with the Assignment information.
 


Single View

Use Single View to view all of the grades for one student or to view all students for one grade item.

Grades may be excluded, or overridden and modified. You can also bulk insert a grade.

Grade History

Grades > Grade History

With the Grade History report you can select specific students, grade items and/or graders and view the grading history for certain dates. It is possible to view only revised grades and to download the data in various formats, such as .CSV or an Excel/Libre Office spreadsheet.

Note: If you course contains quizzes or workshops, you will see your students listed in the Grader dropdown. this is because as they are graders in a workshop and can self-grade in a quiz.
